These Terms of Service govern your use of Sublookout. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these terms. Please read them carefully.
By accessing or using Sublookout, you confirm that you are at least 13 years old and have the legal capacity to enter into these terms. If you are using the service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these terms.
Sublookout is a cloud-based keyword monitoring service for Reddit. It polls public Reddit posts on a schedule, checks them against keywords you define, and notifies you when matches are found. The service is provided as a subscription ("SaaS").
A free tier is available as a downloadable Mac desktop application. The cloud subscription is required for always-on monitoring, email notifications, and Slack notifications.
Sublookout offers paid subscription plans. Current plans include:
Subscriptions are billed in advance on a monthly or annual basis. By subscribing, you authorize us to charge your payment method on a recurring basis until you cancel.
You may cancel your subscription at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. We do not offer refunds for unused time on monthly plans. Annual plans may be eligible for a prorated refund within 14 days of purchase — contact us to request one.
We reserve the right to change pricing with at least 30 days' notice. Price changes will not affect your current billing period.
You agree not to use Sublookout to:
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules without prior notice.
We aim to keep Sublookout running reliably, but we do not guarantee any specific uptime or service level. The service is provided on a best-effort basis. We may perform maintenance, deploy updates, or experience outages, and we are not liable for any disruption to monitoring during those periods.
Sublookout relies on the Reddit API. Changes to Reddit's API, rate limits, or access policies are outside our control and may affect the service's functionality.
The monitors, keywords, and settings you create belong to you. We do not claim ownership of your configuration data. You grant us a limited license to store and process your data for the purpose of operating the service.
Reddit posts surfaced by the service are public content owned by their respective authors and subject to Reddit's terms. Sublookout does not grant you any rights to that content beyond what Reddit already permits.
You may delete your account at any time through your account settings. Upon deletion, your monitors, results, and account data are permanently removed.
We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms, fail to pay for a subscription, or engage in behavior that harms the service or other users. In cases of serious violations, we may terminate your account without notice.
Sublookout is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that keyword matches will be complete or accurate.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Sublookout and its operators will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service — including missed keyword matches, business losses, or data loss. Our total liability for any claim will not exceed the amount you paid us in the 30 days before the claim arose.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Sublookout and its operators from any claims, losses, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from your use of the service, your violation of these terms, or your violation of any third-party rights.
We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. When we do, we will update the date at the top of this page. For material changes, we will notify you by email at least 14 days before the changes take effect. Continued use of the service after that date constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
These terms are governed by applicable law. Any disputes will be resolved in a court of competent jurisdiction.
